Thank you for your interest in coaching with the Ajax Pickering Raiders! The APMHA is grateful to its many volunteer coaches and bench staff for dedicating their time and hard work to youth hockey in our community. Our House League program is dependent on qualified volunteers. If you are interested in coaching a House League team for the upcoming 2024-2025 season, please complete this form in it's entirety. *IMPORTANT*: Submitting this form does NOT guarantee you will be accepted as a Coach for a House League team. Confirmed coaches will receive an email with further details and instructions. Please allow 2-4 weeks for a response.

COACHING EXPERIENCE

  • The submission of this application does NOT guarantee that applicants will be selected to coach a House League team for the 2024-2025 season. Selected coaches will be contacted by the APMHA with further details/instructions. Please allow 2-4 weeks for a response from APMHA administrative staff. Waitlists for coaches will be in effect.

  • Selected Coaches are only able to request ONE bench staff. Teams require a qualified Coach and Trainer. 
    Any bench staff requests made above are not guaranteed.

  • Selected Coaches will receive correspondence over the Spring/Summer, indicating courses or forms that may be required to become a qualified Coach or Trainer. Valid Vulnerable Sector Police Checks are required. As a condition of being accepted as a Coach, you agree to fulfill all certification requirements prior to the start of the season.

  • Player Evaluations in the fall will be the primary tool used for Team Composition. Coaches are required to attend evaluations for their respective divisions. Coaches agree to rank players honestly and fairly during the evaluation process and to do their best to assist in composing fair House League teams prior to the season starting. There will be no balancing in the 2024-2025 season, balancing teams at the time of team composition is crucial. 

  • The APMHA reserves the right to adjust team composition during the season, if deemed necessary. 

  • The APMHA reserves the right to make changes to any team bench staff both prior to, and during, the upcoming season, including removal from the team. 

  • By submitting this application, the applicant agrees to any and all APMHA House League rules and regulations; as well as the APMHA/OMHA and Hockey Canada Code of Conduct.
