U18AA RAIDERS BRING HOME GOLD!
The U18AA Raiders took home the gold in Schomberg this past weekend with a 2-1 win over the Halton Hills Thunder in the King Playoff Challenge.
Halton made the finals after going undefeated in round robin play. Ajax Pickering went 2-1-1 in round robin play having previously tied the Thunder 1-1. In the championship game, after a scoreless first period the Raiders scored two in the second heading into the third. Halton Hills with the extra attacker scored with 7 seconds to go to cut the lead to one. The Raiders held on in the last few seconds to secure the King Playoff Challenge championship.
The U18AA Raiders came together this weekend and played for each other despite some adversity, penalty trouble and tough competition. The coaches are very proud of these young men.
