U16BB Wins Gold South Simcoe Classic
The boys started off with a solid team effort against the Faustina Fury on Friday and came out with a 4-2 win.
Saturday they faced a tough Sarnia Sting team with a hot goalie. The boys fell 1-0. That afternoon it was another very tight loss to a strong Stratford Warriors team, only 2-1. It was enough for a spot in the semifinals and that’s all they needed. They faced the undefeated Sarnia Sting, yet again. The boys were focused, determined and played very well and both teams battled to a 2-2 draw at the end of regulation. Quickly into 3 on 3 OT the Raiders won the game and cemented their spot in the finals.The boys now faced the undefeated Stratford Warriors, yet again. The Raiders were too strong and dominated play from start to finish with a 5-1 victory to bring home the golds and a tournament win.Congratulations on a great start of the season team!Coach Adam
