U15A Champs in Cleveland
The AP Raiders U15A team came to Cleveland with more than Rock and Roll on their minds. It was this new groups first chance to spend quality time together and bond as a single unit.

The team cruised through the round robin allowing only one goal against.
The finals was set vs a strong Tecumseh AA/A squad. Our first meeting with them ended in a 0-0 tie.  The kids hit the sheets early Saturday night to be ready for the 9:35am final Sunday morning.
It was a tight checking game throughout. Oliver Kim opened the scoring off a turnover on their blue line. The Raiders went up 2-0 on a great individual effort from Griffon Merton. Tecumseh was relentless on the forecheck to make it 2-1. The Windsor area team managed to tied it up with 5min left in the game.
After 5min of 4/4 OT hockey it was time for a shoot out. Robbie Forsythe saw an open 5-hole on the first shot and took advantage by finding that spot as the Raiders 2nd shooter. With the championship on the line, the Raiders goalie, Myles Matier took an aggressive position way out of his crease. The Tecumseh player went backhand/forehand but Myles didn’t bite. He was in the perfect spot to make the save and seal the victory.  Congratulations to the U15A Raiders, great start to the season. We would also like to thank The Tecumseh Eagles AA/A for the great match and to all the organization committee for hosting a great event. Lastly, congratulations to the hound dog, Bobby Leeman for a 5 goal performance during the Round Robin and receiving the tournament MVP.
