FAQs

  • If your player is brand new to hockey and does not have an existing Hockey Canada profile, please click here.
  • Returning players must register online through the Hockey Canada Registration System (HCR 3.0). Returning players can click on the registration link below to access the APMHA House League registration page.
  • If you have moved into the Ajax/Pickering area and have played hockey with another organization, please click here to contact our administrative staff. Note: Players that are moving from one organization to another may be required to provide additional documentation (as per OHF guidelines). 

  • IMPORTANT: As per Hockey Canada and OMHA regulations, all player profiles must have a Proof of Residency document and Proof of Age document uploaded to their profile. If you are a current member and your address has not changed, DO NOT indicate an address change is necessary in HCR.
  • Proof of Age Document - must be a copy of a players birth certificate or passport. 
  • Proof of Residency Document - must be a valid parents Drivers License with a matching address to that address on the players HCR Profile OR a recently dated utility bill showing both the current date and the matching address. 
  •  Profile requirements must be met by November 1st, 2025 or players may be suspended from on ice activity - no exceptions.
  • Registration must be completed using the APMHA/HCR online registration portal.
  •  Registration is not complete until all current/outstanding fees have been paid and required documents are provided.
  •  No player may participate in any team activity until they are registered with the Ajax Pickering Hockey Association.
  •  Players will NOT be assigned to a team until registration fees are paid in full and profile requirements have been met.
  •  If you are registering for a division that is full, you will be added to the waitlist. Wait listed members will be assigned to a team on a first-come, first-serve basis based on availability. 
  • If members do not complete all the requirements as presented above and we cannot roster your player to a team, they will not be eligible to participate in APMHA programming.
  • Registration fees can be made online through the Hockey Canada Registration system using credit card only.
  •  Early bird price deadlines will not be extended. Members who register but do not complete payment by the deadline dates are subject to the registration price at the time of payment. 
  •  The APMHA will accept E-Transfers as an approved form of payment for the 2026-2027 season. E-transfers can be sent to  [email protected]. E-Transfers must include the player full name, year of birth and division - limited information may result in your payment not being applied. Payment instructions will be provided during the HCR registration process.
Commencing April 1, 2026, Hockey Canada will be launching ‘The Shift Forward: Evolving Hockey Culture’, an education and training program to support participants and the key objective of changing unhealthy behaviours in the game. For the 2026-27 season, the program is launching for all Coaches, Rostered Staff (Trainers/Managers), Parents/Guardians and HCOP Officials. 
  • At least one parent from each family must complete this course.
  • Previous Respect in Sport for Parents qualifications will be recognized until the end of the 2027-2028 season.
  • Parents of new participants must complete this course in order for their player to be eligible to participate with the APMHA; office staff will contact new participants with instructions. Players missing this qualification will be suspended from APMHA on ice activity as of November 1st.

"Play With" requests are NOT being accepted for the 2026-2027 season. Emails regarding play with requests may not receive a response.
  • The APMHA reserves the right to modify/change programming, as well as edit the information on this page, at any time. 
  •  Due to ice allocation between the Town of Ajax and the City of Pickering, we cannot guarantee an balanced schedule between the facilities. Although the APMHA does try to create a fair and balanced schedule, APMHA members should be prepared to play at both facilities.
