Intention to run for a Board Position
2025 Elections
- President - Must have served 1 full term on the current board
Anyone wishing to run for a board position:
- Submit resume and qualifications - Existing board members do not need to submit resume.
- Currently 1 to 3 VP positions (VP - 3, 5, 7) to be determined by the board. You can only run for one position per AGM.
- Must be available to commit to a minimum of 100 hours over the course of the season, be available 3 tournaments weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), special events and regular board meetings. If you cannot commit to the above please do not submit an application.
- There are no specific board positions. Elected Board Members are assigned duties as required through the year.
- Elected board members may not participate in an age group where there is a perceived conflict of interest as determined by the President.
Late submissions will not be accepted.
Notice of Intention to Sit on Board. Each individual that desires to be elected as a Director at an AGM must notify the then current Directors (see below instructions) of this intention by June 20, 2025, 9:01AM.
Qualification of Board Members. Members of the Board:
i) Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older;
ii) Must not have been found to be of unsound mind by a Court in Canada or elsewhere;
iii) Must not have the status of bankrupt (personal);
iv) Must provide a criminal history check acceptable to the Board of Directors;
v) Must not be a Rostered Bench Staff during the term of directorship;
vi) Must not have violated section 8 of these Bylaws, See Note 1
vii) Must not have any children playing hockey in an APRMHA league during the term of directorship; and
viii) Must not have violated OMHA code of conduct in the past 5 years
viii) Must be a member in good standing
All Candidates must have a nominator and seconder.
Candidates not meeting the requirements shall be disqualified from elections.

Note 1 - Conditions of Membership. As a condition of membership, each Member is required to follow and be bound by all of the policies of the Corporation and its governing bodies including but not limited to the Code of Conduct, Articles of Amalgamation, Conflict of Interest Policy, the Bylaws, and the rules and regulations pertaining to the playing of hockey throughout the Corporation from time to time established by the Board of Directors. The Code of Conduct policy is available to any Member upon request and may be amended by the Board of Directors during any regular scheduled Board meeting.
