AP RAIDERS U13A (26/27) - COACH PROFILE & TEAM INFORMATION
HEAD COACH - BRAD WORTHINGTON
APR is where you want to be!
My name is Brad Worthington and I am excited to be the U13A coach for the 2026-27 season with the AP Raiders. I am looking forward to taking a group of 17 individuals and helping them understand and achieve their hockey goals, along with helping them realize their potential and the kind of player they want to be.
I am a non parent coach and I will have a mix of parent and non parent team staff.
I have been coaching with the APMHA since 2015-16 where I started off as an assistant on my sons House League team. In 2018/19 I took over our U11 Select program and in the 2019/20 season I started a successful U12 AE program with the APMHA. I have coached at the representative level since that season with the APMHA at the A/AE/BB levels. I have spent the past two seasons with the 2014 A level program. In that time we have taken significant strides as a program. I look to take that program higher in the 2026/27 season.
PROGRAM & ICE TIME
Our program for the 2026-27 season will consist of the continued development of team systems (breakouts, forechecks, defensive and offensive zone coverage, special teams, etc.) and individual skills (Skating, shooting, passing, stickhandling, etc).
Not only are we serious about player development, but we are also serious about the development of our goalies and will be putting together a goaltending development program to go along with our team/skills development program.
We take the development of our players and goalies seriously and challenge our players through practice and play to take their game higher. Accountability through play, attitude and effort is essential at the U13A level and we hold our players to a high standard.
Our objective is to have 105-110 hours of ice time for the season. Most ice is allocated to us by the APMHA but I am also big on picking up extra ice when it becomes available; we will typically spend 4-5 days a week on the ice. (Through games and practices)
We are looking to enter 4-5 tournaments over the course of the 2026-2027 season. One will be an away tournament where the players can spend time bonding with one another and creating great memories with one another.
