HEAD COACH - JASON WYLES

I am excited to introduce myself as the new coach for the U11 Ajax Pickering Raiders AA team. With an extensive background in competitive hockey, rugby and fitness I bring a wealth of experience and passion for developing young athletes.

COACHING PHILOSOPHY
I am dedicated to working with a talented group of athletes to help them develop their skills, teamwork, and love for the game. With a strong emphasis on attitude, respect, and effort, I believe that success is built on these three core principles:
• Attitude: Maintaining a positive attitude towards your teammates, coaches, and the game itself.
• Respect: Fostering mutual respect among teammates, coaches, referees and the opposition. Understand how to win and lose with class.
• Effort: Encouraging full effort during practices and games. Be engaged, attentive and disciplined while you’re at the rink.

PLAYING & COACHING BACKGROUND
I have a long history of competitive hockey, having played AAA and Jr. A hockey locally in Pickering and Ajax. Additionally, I played varsity hockey at the University of Toronto, demonstrating a high level of skill and commitment to the sport. After I finished playing hockey I began coaching. I have coached as high as U18 AAA. More recently I have coached in the Klevr League with the Young Kings and Toronto Stars. Locally, I have also coached the Ajax Pickering MD team and the Ajax Pickering U10 AA team.

GOALS FOR THE SEASON
The primary goal for the upcoming season is to develop each player's hockey skills and IQ while building a winning team. Teamwork and commitment to our growth as players and a team are of utmost importance in achieving this goal. I am very dedicated to creating a hardworking and disciplined team that will wear the AP Raiders crest with pride. I am confident that with my experience and leadership, the U11 Ajax Pickering Raiders AA team will achieve great success and growth this season.
