AP RAIDERS U10AAA (25/26) - COACH PROFILE & TEAM INFORMATION
HEAD COACH - COLIN ORGAN
I was born in Ajax and grew up in Durham Region, playing AAA hockey in Durham and Central Ontario before finishing my competitive hockey career in Junior C in Ontario.
I have been involved in coaching youth in various sports over the last several years. Since 2022/2023 I have been the head coach of the Tier 1 Klevr Junior Wings in the Klevr Super League.
I have a passion for the game of hockey and a dedication to player development and team play. I understand the dynamics and importance of families involved in sports, as my wife and I have 3 children involved in competitive sports.
MY PROGRAM
I bring a competitive on ice development program to the organization and team, having regularly worked with the top on ice development coaches in the area including Spencer Wight, Ashlea Jones, Puck Warriors goaltending, Full Blade Hockey, Xcel hockey, amongst others. On ice development is structured and focused on player and team development, utilizing ice time efficiently and effectively.
Just as important, I bring an off-ice development plan which includes: dry land training programs with experienced dry land trainers, video analysis of game play and visual learning of skills/positions/systems for players and families, off ice training and goals for players, and guidance for players to ensure the training is properly done and effective.
Competitive Teams/Past Achievements
-The 2016 Klevr Junior Wings have consistently been a competitive Tier 1 team in the Klevr Super League, competing against some of the best players and teams in Southern Ontario, Quebec, and the U.S.
ICE TIMES
With 3 facilities and 9 ice pads, there is no shortage of ice for AP Raiders teams. Our ice times are generally fixed to specific days and times, so there is no guessing week to week when we are on the ice. The Ajax Pickering Raiders teams receive prime time ice and the association offers many hours of ice to be picked up during the season. Players can expect over 100 hours of ice during the 2025-2026 season.
ASSOCIATION
APR is the place to play.
The APMHA has a dedicated Board of Directors and Executive that are all non-parent members, eliminating any perceived conflict of interest or favoritism; their dedication to our MHA is limitless, with no personal gain other than the success of our Association and its players/teams. We have a full administrative staff to support parents and players through all aspects of the season. The APMHA has a solid foundation of continuous and unwavering support for our Coaches, Players and AP Raiders families.
