Hockey Community Saddened
The Ajax Pickering Minor Hockey Association is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Rowen Greening, a U12AA North Durham Hockey Player.
Rowen is remembered by his community for his love of the game, his kindness, and the spirit he brought to the game. Rowen participated in the Lakeshore League and all the teams are deeply saddened.
During time of tragedy, the hockey community is at its best when it comes together. We join Rowen's family, teammates, coaches, friends and all those mourning the heartbreaking loss in keeping his memory close and supporting each other in the days ahead.
In a show of amazing unity and support, members of the hockey community have begun placing two hockey sticks at their doors to honour Rowen #2. This simple gesture reflects the strength of the hockey family and the collective love and support from surrounding hockey associations.
