- What are House League Player Assessments?
Registered players will come to the rink for their scheduled time slot and participate in a practice session. Players are assessed by the coaches and then placed on a House League team in their division. Ranking players during Player Assessments allows our association to do our best to create teams that are fair and balanced from the start of the season.
- Who are Player Assessments for?
If your player(s) is registered in our U7/U9/U11/U13 or U15 House League program, they should be participating in Player Assessments.
- Should my player attend Evaluations?
Yes! - Attendance/participation at Player Assessments is crucial to our team composition. We encourage families make every effort to have their player attend the skates on both days.
- When are APMHA Player Assessments?
The House League Player Assessments are on September 13th and September 14th - the schedule is coming soon and will be posted on our website! Please make sure to bring your player to their designated session, as this helps us with the number of players on the ice for each session.
- What does my player need for Player Assessments?
All players are required to wear full equipment for Player Assessments (including OMHA mandated mouthguards).A list of required equipment can be found on the APMHA website. Players MUST BRING THEIR OWN HOCKEY JERSEY (preferably with a number on the back) AND HOCKEY SOCKS. These will not be provided at the skates.
- What happens if my player cannot attend Player Assessment Weekend?
If your player is unable to attend Player Assessments on September 13th and September 14th, please do not worry. Your player(s) will still be placed on one of the House League teams in their respective divisions. If your player cannot attend any sessions on the weekend, please let APMHA administrative staff know (click here)
- What happens after Player Assessments?
After Player Assessments have concluded, team composition takes place. You will receive communication directly from your coach AFTER September 16th. First team practices will be on the weekend of September 20th/September 21st. Please be patient with our House League coaches/volunteers and make sure to check your junk mail/spam folders.
Note: if you have not heard from your coach by Thursday, September 18th, please reach out to APMHA administrative staff.
