From Timbits
Hockey to U13AAA, Ajax has been the home of Jessie Olden. Even at a young age,
Jessie loved hockey. That passion for the game and the drive to prove all the
boys wrong about girls on the ice fueled that passion. All of the coaches,
board members, parents, teammates, and spectators welcomed her. That blonde
ponytail certainly created an image of innocence on the ice, however, Jessies
strong will, and aggressive play proved differently.
She has met
some of her closest friends and the most motivating coaches since the
beginning. Every time Jessie scored, the whole team and fans light up. That’s
inclusion, that is belonging and that is Raiders hockey.

She dreams of
taking hockey to the next level, and the Ajax Pickering Raiders organization
has supported her since the beginning.

Hockey truly is
for everyone, and it is way more than a game. We hope that Jessie has inspired
other girls to push boundaries and fuel the passion for the game on and off the
ice. We wish Jessie the best of luck and continued success with her new team in
the OWHA.
